Mystical/Contact/Higher Consciousness Meditation
Mystical/Contact/Higher Consciousness Meditation is one of the pillars of Theocentric Psychology/conscious spiritual-soul evolvement, eventually resulting in living a happier, healthier, more prosperous, soul-based life, also known as living your soul's purpose/God's Will for you in this lifetime. Add a Prayer Treatment or Scientific/Affirmative-Prayer and In-Visioning into your practice, and you will truly be on your way to cozying yourself up to God, cleaning up the trash-bin of the various levels of your mind in the process!
From my book, Mystical Wisdom:
"Quite simply, Mystical or Contact Meditation attunes you to God's healing energy which is pure Universal love. The more you meditate, the more attuned (and healed) you become!
Keep in mind that what I'm about to describe is not western meditation, consisting of guided meditation designed to temporarily make you feel happy, and/or to eliminate unwanted behaviors (such as over-eating and smoking) as with hypnotherapy, but eastern meditation, designed to be practiced in silence (without someone else speaking/leading you into altered-state) for divine-contact! Hence the name, Contact, or Mystical Meditation. Remember, too, that you must unfailingly practice meditation several times daily, ad infinitum. The length of time with each session will increase, but minimum five minutes at first will be somewhat effective; although your goal will be five minutes, I suspect that you'll go longer, as is the case with most people.
Developing good habits at first is also recommended, such as picking a place in your home that "feels right" for your meditative sessions; sit on a pillow on the floor; sit on your favorite chair; be comfortable above all, as you don't want to be distracted by body discomfort, in fact, you don't want to (and won't) have an awareness of your physical body at all, in time. You can strike a Yoga-pose if it feels right, as long as you can sit for a potentially long time without falling over or falling asleep."
Learning how to meditate, contrary to popular belief, is not difficult. Developing a regular spiritual practice consisting of Contact Meditation, Scientific (or Affirmative) Prayer and In-Visioning is also easy, once you get into the habit of doing it!
Learn how simple and pleasurable it is to develop your spiritual practice, while at the same time unconsciously healing any hindrances and blocks to a prosperous and happy life. Your intuition will soon kick in, guiding you to staying on (or keying into) your Divine Agenda/Soul's Purpose.
Mystical/Contact/Higher Consciousness Meditation is one of the crucial and basic pillars of a good Metaphysical/Spiritual practice, and is highly recommended as an adjunct to any and all of my other workshops, along with Tai Chi/Qi Gong.

From Dr. Likey's Book, Mysical Meditation: Meditation has been practiced since antiquity in numerous religious traditions and beliefs. Since the 19th century, it has spread from its Asian origins to Western cultures where it is commonly practiced in private and business life. Meditation is under psychological, neurological, and cardiovascular research to define its possible health effects.
Meditation, practiced daily, will amplify any In-Visioning and Scientific/Affirmative-Prayer/Prayer Treatments that you include in your spiritual practice. In fact, it has been said that the three pillars of Theocentric Psychology include Mystical Meditation, along with In-Visioning and Scientific/Affirmative-Prayer/Prayer Treatments!
Hopefully this book will be of some use and/or interest, and may be either a primer/incentive for you to do further research on the many types of meditation, or this book may simply be the be all and end-all, the base for your source-material on the subject of meditation.
